Measured Values

The energy label for TVs starts with the seven energy efficiency classes A through G. The new classes that have been added in A+, A++ and A+++ are options that will not become mandatory until some later point. The so-called energy efficiency index is the decisive parameter for the division into energy efficiency classes that reflect the ratio of a device's power consumption when switched on to a predefined reference value (The reference value depends on the size of the device). The information on the label about the power consumption in the various operating modes is based on uniform measurement standards. This makes it possible to compare televisions of different brands and sizes.
